Amber received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Carson Newman University in addition to her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During graduate school she worked at the University of Tennessee Medical Center as a nurse on the Maternal/Newborn Unit. Upon graduation, she accepted a Nurse Practitioner position with Thompson Oncology Group in Morristown, Tenn., working in the medical oncology setting. She instantly developed a love for oncology and even more so for her patients. She now works side by side with Dr. Marcio Fagundes, Radiation Oncologist and medical director for Provision Center for Proton Therapy and is able to work closely with patients receiving treatment for prostate cancer. She also sees patients in close follow up once radiation has completed.
Her favorite quote is by Simon Sinek who stated, “Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion”.
Amber was born and raised in East Tennessee but also has a passion for traveling. A few of her previous trips include traveling to Switzerland, France, Italy, Hawaii, New York, California, and the Caribbean islands; however, she looks forward to expanding this list every year. She recently relocated to Knoxville from the neighboring Jefferson County and is excited to be a part of the Provision family.
