When someone is diagnosed with cancer, life’s focus turns to cancer treatment, quality of life, care and cure. During this journey, there are a myriad of emotions and there is no greater comfort than connecting with someone who has been down your path.

As the Provision CARES Proton Therapy Center focuses on our Culture of Care, we recognize this important element of a patient’s journey. We have created an Ambassador Program, where former proton therapy patients are able to serve newly diagnosed patients and those currently receiving treatment. Our Ambassadors have experienced the frightening diagnosis of cancer, the exhaustive research of treatments and side-effects, the multitude of tests, the influx of medical bills, and finally the confusion and overwhelming emotions as they discern all of this new information. Our Ambassadors understand your needs, your anxieties, and your fears.  They can provide information, direction, explanation and facilitation, while nourishing you with encouragement, inspiration and hope. They are part of our Culture of Care, and they want to be there for you.

At Provision CARES Proton Therapy Center, we are honored to hear their stories, learn from their experiences, and direct you to them personally, as they willingly, genuinely and respectfully extend their hand to walk with you through this journey. It is our privilege to introduce them to you:

“I am honored to be the first breast cancer patient to complete treatment. I was able to keep my regular work schedule and continue with my daily routines with very little side effects.”

“My proton treatment for prostate cancer was a ‘Radiation Vacation’. I was scheduled for treatment at 10:00 a.m. and on the golf course by 11:00 a.m.!”

Tom Bomkamp
Knoxville, TN

“Thank God for the technology and a treatment called Proton Therapy! Every treatment takes a bite of cancer from me, until it is no more. Goodbye cancer, you are no more. Your time in my body is done. You are dead and I can carry on…cancer free!”

Vince Sica
Knoxville, TN

“Dad had prostate cancer 20 years ago, so I was looking for it. My PSA numbers started to move, so I researched surgery, Brachytherapy, Cryotherapy and radiation therapy. I discovered PROTON and had an 8 week ‘Radiation Vacation’! It killed the cancer, and all the plumbing works!”

Peter Kraslawsky
Tellico Village, TN

“Through faith, God led me to proton therapy with its phenomenal process of no surgery, no recovery time, no permanent side effects, no quality of life issues, and most importantly, no cancer. What started as a hugely negative experience of being diagnosed with prostate cancer ended as a tremendously positive experience of being healed through proton therapy. I am forever grateful.”

Don Denton
Townsend, TN

“The quality of life after traditional therapy is not so good, but with proton therapy it’s better…much better.” read more here…
